You can have every concealer under the sun but we all know that the key to any great beauty look is having beautiful skin. And that starts way before you apply any makeup product!
When it comes to planning your beauty routine for your wedding day, it’s a good idea to go to a dermatologist or beauty salon that specialises in skincare and can advise you on a good course of treatments.
I recently tried the Thavma Therapy Facial (also known as the Botox Facial) by Skin BOOSTERS at the Beauty Bar Therapy in Mermaid Beach. The 45-minute facial is suitable for all skin types and is aimed at people in their twenties and thirties. Firstly, my therapist Kaila cleansed my face and neck. Following this, she applied a peel to the face and neck and allowed it to soak in for five minutes. She then neutralized the peel and applied two masks to the face and neck. The mask was then removed and a serum was applied and massaged in until it was fully absorbed. She then applied a cooling cream to the neck and face. While not uncomfortable, I did experience tingling for about 5-10 minutes during the first half of the facial due to the active ingredients involved. These are glycolic acid, salicylic acid, aloe vera, Leuphasyl, avocado oil, lavender essential oils, vitamin A + E which due wondrous things for your complexion! I would describe it as more stimulating than relaxing but my skin was glowing afterwards.
The following morning, I noticed some tiny whiteheads coming to the fore on my chin which then disappeared after I cleansed, leaving my skin noticeably more clear.
This particular treatment is not suitable for pregnant woman as it can make the skin more sensitized.
